Profile Pictures
Say cheese! Profile pictures are a great way to let people met you. Putting a face to your work is very important as people want to know all about the person behind their favorite pieces (we are talking about you!) A head shot or picture of you at work are our suggested profile pictures. Your work is nicely highlighted in your listing so we strongly suggest that you do not show one of your pieces as your profile picture. Please ensure that your profile pictures are not of mature content, can be deemed as inappropriate or violate the Terms of Use. When choosing your profile picture think of what you would want your potential clients to see (a professional artist with a welcoming smile!)

All listings on Artistically Connected should be honest, clear, accurate and detailed. Accurate titles, tags, photos and descriptions are critical to selling on Artistically Connected. Check out the Posting Your Art video tutorial on the resources page for help on posting your art. Keep these policies in mind as you list and describe your items:
Listing descriptions and photos must accurately describe the item for sale so buyers know what is included in the purchase (ie, framing, hanging fixtures glass, etc).
Each listing must be available for purchase.
You may not create a listing for an item that is not for sale or sold out.
A listing may not be created for the sole purpose of sharing photographs such as personal photos (if you wouldn’t see it in a gallery, don’t post it here).
A listing may not be created solely as an advertisement. This includes notices of sales or promotions on your work. Such information may be included in your profile, and/or item descriptions.
Listing prices must be reasonable.
You may price an item how you choose; however, a listing should not be created with an inaccurate price in order to keep it from selling.
The shipping cost must be reasonable for the item.
Each unique item must have its own listing. If you are selling photographs or prints that are available at different sizes be sure to list each size as a separate item (even if they are sold for the same price).
Artistically Connected suggests that you include shipping in the price of the art – buyers really appreciate this and it makes the decision for purchase that much easier.
All listings on Artistically Connected must be for a tangible object. (Note: a digital file of your work is considered a tangible object.)
You may not use Artistically Connected to direct shoppers to another online selling venue. For example, posting links/URLs or providing information sufficient to locate the other online venue(s).
Drop shipping is not permitted. All items must be shipped under the direct supervision of the seller.
Members who do not comply with Artistically Connected’s policies may be subject to review, which can result in suspension of account privileges and/or termination. Suspended or terminated members remain obligated to pay Artistically Connected for all unpaid fees per our Terms of Use.

Tagging
Tagging has become a term much more widely used and understood since the world of blogging took off. Tagging is adding descriptive terms to pages, posts, pieces ect. So that Internet users can find what they are looking for. Search engines look for these tags to serve up relevant data to the user. Just like an external search engine, Artistically Connected’s search operates the same. This is why it is important that you tag your work appropriately. Tags can and should include the color and content with each word separated with a comma. For example: blue, red, abstract. If you are found to be over tagging or inappropriately tagging your work, your work will be removed and any fees associated with the piece(s) will not be refunded. Keep in mind, we do look for this.

The buyer may file a non-delivery report with Artistically Connected against the seller at [email protected] . When a non-delivery report is filed, both the buyer and the seller receive a notice from Artistically Connected about the report so they can work out the issue. Artistically Connected encourages all sellers to keep records regarding proof of shipping (for example: delivery confirmation, shipping service receipt, customs form). Artistically Connected relies on buyers to submit fair, honest feedback for sellers in non-delivery circumstances. Please note: a buyer who paid a seller via PayPal may have a limited time frame in which to file a claim for refund of purchase under PayPal’s policies.

Transactions
Artistically Connected is a venue, not a retailer; Artistically Connected’s role is to connect the buyer and the seller. This means when you place an order on Artistically Connected, you are entering into a direct transaction and personal relationship with an individual seller (facilitated by Artistically Connected). We encourage the two parties to independently work through the transaction to completion.
A transaction is created when a buyer completes Artistically Connected’s checkout process. An Artistically Connected transaction is completed when the buyer pays and the seller ships the item. Payment is submitted directly to the seller via a method specified in the item listing (for example: PayPal, personal check, etc).
Communication is the key to a smooth transaction. All buyer questions regarding transactions, including payment arrangements and cancellations, should be directed to the seller. Artistically Connected recommends that members use email to correspond. Artistically Connected encourages all sellers to keep records regarding proof of shipping (for example: delivery confirmation, shipping service receipt, customs form and all other documentation and conversation).
In certain circumstances, a seller may cancel an invalid or void transaction or refuse service to a buyer. A seller may post important information in their profile or listing description to better inform buyers. A seller’s individual policies for shipping, returns/exchanges and refunds posted in the seller’s profile must comply with Artistically Connected’s site-wide policies. Please note: other services involved in completing a transaction (for example: PayPal.com, shipping services) may have different policies regarding transactions.

The seller must ship the item(s) within a reasonable amount of time, according to the transaction agreement or the terms in the seller’s profile.
The seller must ship the item(s) to the shipping address submitted by the buyer. The seller should communicate with the buyer if shipping information is unclear or inconsistent.
In the event of a dispute, the seller may be asked to provide Artistically Connected with proof of shipping. Artistically Connected will not hold the seller responsible for postal or shipping service delays or errors, theft or customs delays.
Transaction policies for the buyer:
The buyer must pay the seller directly. Do not send payment to Artistically Connected.
The buyer must pay at the time the transaction is created, according to transaction agreement or the terms in the seller’s profile.
